Check Out the NEW Aston Martin DBS Superleggera! | FIRST LOOK

StoneBridge & K-Syran - Starry Night

Let’s take a first look and walkaround of the brand new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera! The ultimate super-GT is presented at the company’s HQ in Gaydon, finished in Satin Xenon Grey paintwork. Formed on the basis of the DB11, but with 725hp and 900nm from the 5.2l Twin Turbo V12, the DBS Superleggera stands as a ‘brute in a suit’. Let’s explore how it mixes sporty styling with the luxury on the interior. So, what do you think of the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera?

With a name that strikes a historical connection to the DB4, DB5 and DB6 designed with Corozzeria Touring from Italy, while simultaneously returning the DBS name to the flagship range, it ups the game substantially. The engine is reworked, as to is the 8 speed ZF gearbox to handle the huge amounts of torque available.

Aerodynamics have played a part in the DBS Superleggera with 180kg of downforce available. From the large grille for maximum airflow and cooling to the Side Louvre and Stirrup on the side – both developed through motorsport. At the rear you find a double diffuser and it sits 20mm wider at the rear and 10mm wider at the front than DB11 too.

Although it is 70kgs lighter than a DB11, it is still 1,693kg. However, the power is fed to the rear wheels and offers 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 211mph (340km/h). The bonnet is now made from carbon fibre to save some weight but opening it gives us a good look at the new Side Louvre.

After getting started with a quick walkaround to take a look at the highlights, we can dive more into the specifc details that mark out the new DBS Superleggera.

Thanks for watching, Tim
