Let's explore the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the latest limited edition raging bull! Re-introducing the Jota name, and packed with a 770hp V12, the hardcore Aventador variant is all about an emotional driving experience and on track at Estoril, Portugal - it is exactly that!

With an opportunity to go into serious detail we can cover all of the technical changes that Lamborghini made to their flagship model to enable it to achieve the record 6.44:97 time at the famous Nurburgring Norschleife. It's also a chance to enjoy plenty of track time at the wheel, to get a feel for the hardcore bull, as well as a passenger lap with Lamborghini driver Jeroen Mul.

There is no question of its ferocity and sheer ability to grab the heartstrings as an outright supercar, in a way only a V12 Lamborghini can. However, the weight of the car takes some overcoming, as does the tendency to lean towards understeer (exaggerated thanks to the new tarmac at Estoril) and I don't think anybody would say the gearbox is as quick as a modern car deserves. However, for some reason these all fall into irrelevance when you foot is planted and the V12 is bellowing away behind you.

The SVJ is limited to just 900 units, with a further 63 of the special 63 Edition. It will be followed by equal numbers of the Roadster for an even further audible experience but still retaining the same technology such as the Rear Steering, 4 Driving Modes, ALA 2.0, lightweight carbon construction and so forth.
