Mercedes AMG released in 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show the first F1 hypercar with hybrid technology for the road, the AMG Project ONE. First of it's kind, with a 1.6 litre V6 hybrid F1 engine spinning to 11,000rpm, producing more than 1,000bhp at the max speed of over 350km/hr, and reaches 124mph in less than 6 seconds. The exact technical figures will be released later this year by AMG.
Mercedes AMG will produce only 275 units worldwide, all of which have already been allocated. Back in 2017 before release, there was an application process where customers could apply to purchase one. After their careful selection process, AMG selected only 275 owners from their best clients, and I was lucky enough to be one of them.
AMG Project ONE will cost $2.72 million plus options and taxes. First cars will arrive beginning of 2021, I can't wait for my AMG Project ONE Jet to arrive! I already have plans to take this special car to many places, some of which I have never visited before with my cars.
