parody of the real GTi

Currently in a Golf r but fancy going to the other extreme to something much slower but arguably just as fun in the twisties. Gutted that the steering wheel has no reach adjustment though.

Ian Ford says:

Yet another fun little car, we won't be getting. Thanks, VW. ??

Kamil Buchaniec says:

Byłby ciekawy gdyby miał przynajmniej R4 1400ccm i 130-150KM teraz wolałbym mk1 z lat 80'

Josh983 says:

Almost a true hot hatch but downsized engine for economy should be your foot on the accelerator

Roger Hudson says:

I used to have a Mk1 Golf, a revolutionary car, it makes the Up! look very fat.

ridow300 says:

Don't forget that this car has been built with " Slow car fast car " mentality.
It's not about going super sonic speed fast , it's about having fun.

TutekBG00 says:

Has everyone forgot that there was something called Lupo GTI? Which is way better than this wannabe GTI with less power than a Lupo and drum brakes at rear

I'm only 30 but i feel old when i thing about all the new generation complaining about how underpowered a less than 1000 kg and over 110hp car is. The guys that they need abs to not block the wheels, esp to keep them on the road, parking assist, auto rev matching maps on the phone etc they think that a new driver for his first sporty, city car he need 200 hp and 0-100 at 5 secs and stuff like this when they canot drive unassisted, my generation and the gens before me the 40 years old etc have seen days when peugeot rallyes had 120hp at best, golf gti also, civic vti 160 , punto gt 130 etc and those where fast cars that they make you a good driver by learning to control them. Wtf do we need to be happy, how fast can a teenager go on public road and how much money does the average guy in this economic situation have?

andrew evolution says:

5hps more than the grandfather… What a waste of money…

lgccrick says:

The guys in the comments like: Why no V6 BiTurbo? (plus concrete in the trunk)

fatwalletboy2 says:

For the money it looks a great quality package. If other manufacturers see a niche then VW might produce say a 4cyl 1.5 nutter version but then youre getting away from the £14k price.
