The Hennessey Venom F5 is a 300mph hypercar, made in America, and now at the Goodwood Festival of Speed! It's my turn to experience it with a full send run up the famous hillclimb course with Alex Brundle at the wheel... and it does not disappoint!

Only 24 units of the @HennesseyPerformanceF5 Venom F5 are to be made in total, powered by a twin turbocharged 6.6l V8 nicknamed 'Fury' that produces 1,817bhp (1,842ps) and 1,618Nm of torque. It's an entirely bespoke built hypercar with a target top speed of 300mph on the two-way average run, clearly boasting immense performance with figures like 0-186mph (300km/h) in under 10 seconds.

After we set off from the Goodwood Festival of Speed paddock, surrounded by a who's who of the latest hypercars, we'll chat with Alex who has been thrown into the hot seat of the car last minute for the hillclimb drives, and therefore on only his second time of the hill with it. Excitingly, Hennessey are now also announcing that they will introduce a Venom F5 Roadster, with 30 units to be made of the car sharing the underpinnings of the Coupe and the same Fury engine.
