The rumors about Bugatti coming out with a V16 engine are absolutely true. Bugatti is indeed incorporating a V16 engine into its upcoming hypercar. It is looking to replace the iconic W16 engine that Bugatti has in the Veyron and Chiron lineups. This new V16 engine is going into a new supercar currently being manufactured by Bugatti, in which will be released with details to the public in June of this year.
