Inside Look At Designing The 2005 Ford GT – Jay Leno’s Garage

Jay Leno’s Garage

Golden Retriever says:

Here’s a dumb question

If the only safety requirement that changed was the windshield header

why couldn’t they simply make an updated Ford GT with adjustable peddles/steering wheel and fixed seats like they did with the new one but only in 2007 not 2017

Just wondering really

pinkdispatcher says:

Nice. Niki Lauda was Austrian, though, not German. They don't like to be confused.

Alex Benton says:

What a delight. Very informative and enjoyable to watch.

Loffi Niffi says:

even kenneth "ken" henry jarvis miles hit his head on the door. not to mention that he had this happen to him during Le Mans in 1966.

Penguins Fan says:

This is, in my opinion, the most beautiful, most amazing car Ford has built. It's almost 20 years old, still beautiful, still amazing. And….they came only with a 6 speed manual transmission. No computer controlled or paddle shifted automatic, just a do it yourself stick shift and clutch….as it should be.

Danilo Bingham says:

Nice looking piece of beast (as it was in the sixties.) I like that it doesn't look extravagant, but straight as the beast it is.
I just don't like in the interior the central column, or how it's called the thing between the driver and the passenger.
Good video indeed.

Blaaade says:

"I realized we had forgotten this car I hand hanging around, so hey, why not have a look at it?

Kirill Samoroukov says:

Is that white car behind the designer guy a Russian "Volga" GAZ 21?

Logan Wurtz says:

this guy is a true designer and engineer. a lot of these designers simply design but he seemed to be thinking about the logistics as well. very nice to see a guy like this use this car as a passion project, not just another design

matthew sommers says:

19:31 Jay bamboozled

George Simeone says:

Nobody mentioned what the body was made of or what engine is in it.

The Jersey J says:

This is the most beautiful car ever built.

crevis12 says:

Brent Woods says:

Pauly Shore's artist brother

Andreas says:

The Wolf says:

OTTO Sophia says:

Youri Carma says:

Fred Howland says:

Such a beautiful car.

Alfredo Gonzalez says:

I can tell This guy knows everything including where to find the best pot in town

Ry Hendo says:

This dude loves his job and co-creation! Awesome guest.

Derek Holmberg says:

That model FORD GT is one of my personal all time favorites! Cool to listen to Camilo talk about the build.

John Chappell says:

Jay's the best and one of the best guest he's had. Thanks

Jack T says:

Of all the ones I've seen here, this was far and the most interesting guest to listen to and the perfect car.

Marco Vilela says:

K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's continues.

Anton Spilhaus says:

I like him. And i love the car. Always wanted one….

Brother Paul says:

The only thing wrong with the car is the tyres. Goodyear has always been crap and complete junk. Yes I have experience with this brand working in the tyre industry for over 10yrs. Hence their name "only good for one year"…. Even back in the early 2000's Daytona HR tyres out performed them. I had a 244 Volvo and took a 20mph Ohio curve in a down pour @ 55mph and did not slide, spin, or wreck.

Aye Run says:

This guy seems mad cool. I could hear his stories all day.

brian mcintosh says:

They are both high as HELL

Dale Anderson says:

My favorite car.
