This is the brand new Aston Martin AM-RB 003 hypercar and you can join me for a very first look! Nicknamed the ‘Son of Valkyrie’, Aston Martin and Red Bull have teamed up again to create a car powered by an in-house turbo hybrid V6 or which 500 units will go into production. Hot on the heels of Valkyrie and Valkyrie AMR Pro, the AM-RB 003 concept gives a look towards the car that’s due to go into production in 2021, potentially with a nod towards future racing. Featuring huge levels of aerodynamics from the underbody and even FlexFoil flexible carbon fibre for the rear wing – albeit less uncompromising than the Valkyrie, it’s still very much loaded up with intent. Alongside the AM-RB 003 in the studio we can also explore the Vanquish Vision Concept, bringing many of the design cues into a series production mid-engined supercar; the first from Aston Martin that would be due further down the line. This is the new Koenigsegg Gemera, and it is a family car. Indeed, we know this because it has four seats, hot and cold cupholders, and the ability to store four adults’ carry-on luggage. Also, this is the new Koenigsegg Gemera, and it is absolutely mind-blowingly nuts. It has 1,700bhp, 2,580lb ft of torque, the ability to go from 0-62mph in 1.9s and up to 250mph in “record matching pace”. And that’s not all – the powertrain is bonkers too. Join Top Gear magazine’s Jack Rix as he talks to boss Christian von Koenigsegg himself about this insane Mega GT then let us know what you think below. This is the all new Mercedes AMG Project One. The Project ONE raises the bar for what is currently technically feasible to a new level. The complex development work was carried out in close cooperation with the Formula 1 experts at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth, England, and with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team in Brackley. The highly-efficient hybrid power unit and the electrified front axle ensure an exciting mix of performance and efficiency. With a system output of over 740 kW (1000 hp) and a top speed in excess of 350 km/h, this hypercar drives just as it looks: breath-taking. The high-performance plug-in hybrid drive system is an intelligently networked unit consisting of a combustion engine and a total of four electric motors, two of which drive the front wheels to allow variable all-wheel drive. The 1.6-litre V6 hybrid petrol engine with direct injection and electrically supported single turbocharging comes from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 racing car. The four overhead camshafts are driven by spur gears. The combustion drivetrain installed as a mid-engine ahead of the rear axle is easily capable of up to 11,000 rpm, however for a longer service life and the use of commercially available premium plus petrol instead of racing fuel, it is intentionally kept below the Formula 1 engine speed limit. Not only the drive system, but also the pushrod suspension and sophisticated aerodynamics would be unthinkable without Formula 1 know-how. The characteristic features range from the flat front section with large air [More]

Introducing the latest Pagani hypercar, the brand new Huayra Roadster BC! Join me for a Pagani factory tour, visit to the museum, and reveal of the newest introduction before going out for a passenger ride to experience what it’s all about! The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC follows on the heels of the Roadster, wearing the BC designation symbolising it as the limited edition, more driver focused variant of the model. Featuring the new Pagani V12 engine developed ahead of the launch of the “C10” successor model, making over 800hp and 1,050nm of torque. With new aerodynamic elements and features but still weighing just 1,250kg you can be sure it’s quite a machine. After seeing the new car presented I had the incredible opportunity to jump onboard the prototype to enjoy the bangs and cracks from the exhaust system as we explore the local roads. From there it’s back for a quick tour of the Pagani Huayra and Zonda history in the museum and then a discovery of the assembly hall itself where the cars are actually built. Yes, Koenigsegg have done it again. Not only did they land a rather unsubtle mic-drop at the Not Geneva Motor Show with their 1,700bhp four-seat family-wagon – the Gemera – but they threw their metaphorical microphone right in the direction of Bugatti with this – the Jesko Absolut, a top speed oriented version of the Jesko capable, apparently, of 310mph…. The SIXTH and ULTIMATE Black Series has finally arrive! Guys, today is the day we have been waiting for with baited breath. I’m Raz, your Mr AMG, and today I have the honour of Unveil to you, the next in the ultimate chapter of AMG – The #AMG GT #BlackSeries!! I am also still shaking, I too lost my breath upon viewing this car for the first time. As you can no doubt see now, every element differentiates from all previous iterations of the #MercedesAMG GT Family. A car squarely aimed at becoming the king of the Nurburgring chasing the SVJ and GT2 RS. Let’s explore it today in only the way RBR can!! I’m so damn excited about this guys. This is what AMG is all about, hard to control positive emotions all from a love of extraordinary products. I’m going to show you every inch of this car. The story of the Black Series began with the little known SLK Black Series. Ironically the rarest of all Blacks, it had extensive use of Carbon fibre, 50 more BHP from the V8 crammed in that mini SLR body, but most significantly was a proper Coupe rather than a folding top like all other SLKs. The SLK 55 was the best small AMG back then before the C63 came, and this Black Series took a great car and made it even more emotional and focused. This idea, continued across the future Black Series cars. There have only been a handful, [More]

Let’s take a close look at the brand new Ferrari SF90 Stradale! It’s Ferrari’s first series production hybrid, boasting 1,000hp with a hybrid V8 setup, and with an entirely new dashboard and driving modes for the driver. Join me now though to discover the car in detail and even have a sound check from that new engine! The Ferrari SF90 Stradale stands for Scuderia Ferrari 90th anniversary and Stradale – the Italian word for road. With an enlarged 4.0l TT V8 making almost 800hp and a little over 200hp coming from 3 electric motors for a total of 1000PS, it also is the first Ferrari to offer a front wheel drive set up with 15 miles of eDrive range running entirely electrically. On the exterior, the car also creates 380kg of downforce at 250km/h owing to aero that’s integrated into the bodywork. From a performance perspective, 0-100km/h is dispatched in just 2.5 seconds and it will go on to a top speed of 340km/h (211mph). On the inside, the driver is greeted by a new 16″ curved display screen along with controls throughout with a new touch display interface. On the steering wheel are the options for Qualifying, Performance, Normal and eDrive modes, along with the traditional Manettino modes, now visually electrified in the display too. For the drive selector, the panel is created in the style of an old gated manual shifter, a positive nod to Ferraris of old. The car is on display here at the brand new [More]
Check out the brand new Hennessey Venom F5! Join me for a first look at this incredible hypercar that targets a top speed in excess of 300mph. Powered by ‘Fury’, it has a 6.6l twin turbocharged V8 making 1,817hp and some extraordinary acceleration numbers. Let’s explore in detail and even hear it with some flamethrowing revs. The Venom F5 gets its name from the Fujita tornado scale in Japan, 5 being the top level up to 318mph (511km/h), an appropriate name therefore for a car aiming for a top speed of over 500km/h (311mph). The car is bespoke for Hennessey and the engine’s output of 1,817hp and 1,617Nm claims to carry it with estimated acceleration figures from 0-62mph (100km/h) in 2.6s, 0-124mph (200km/h) in 4.7s, 0-186mph (300km/h) in 8.4s and 0-248mph (400km/h) in a mere 15.5s. Only 24 units of the Venom F5 will be built in total, the follow-up to the Venom GT that previously set a top speed of 270mph. The F5 also celebrates Henenssey’s 30th anniversary in 2021 and with it launches a new brand identity and logo. To keep things both strong and light, it has a carbon fibre monocoque as well as a full carbon body with streamlined aerodynamics but maintaining enough downforce for high speed and also track driving – furthered by the additional interchangeably rear wing as part of the Track package configuration. Join me then to take you through the car in detail, including an opportunity to take a seat onboard and [More]
This is the new Hennesey Venom F5! A 1817hp 300mph+ hypercar designed and built entirely by Hennesey Performance from the ground up. Built around a carbon fibre monocoque and priced at $2.1 million dollars, just 24 ultra-exclusive versions of the Venom F5 will be produced with each example unique to its owner. The heart of the car is the Hennessey-built 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine named ‘Fury’, which delivers 1,817HP at 8,000rpm and packs 1,617Nm (1,193lb-ft) of torque. The F5 aims to exceed 500kph (311mph) on a two-way validated speed run using a production specification car. The record attempt will be independently verified by the world-renowned experts from Racelogic using VBOX GPS data acquisition systems. Racelogic / VBOX engineers will be on site to install, test and calibrate the speed testing equipment in the F5 to ensure absolute accuracy and transparency. In addition, VBOX engineers will verify all test data and final speed numbers. The speed test will be attended by independent witnesses, media guests and F5 customers. GPS data and uninterrupted video footage will also be made publicly available following the speed test. With the engine delivering such immense power, one of the challenges for the Hennessey engineers is how best to transfer the car’s colossal forces through its rear wheels to the ground. This is handled with precision by the car’s Motec controller, which will be calibrated for optimum power and traction control. In addition, five different drive modes (Sport, Track, Drag, Wet, F5) can be selected that alter [More]
You’re looking at the first production prototype of the Hennessey Venom F5 – the long-awaited 300mph+,1,817bhp all-American hypercar. Ready for some numbers? 0-62mph time of 2.6 seconds, followed by fireworks: 0-124mph in 4.7s and 0-250mph in 15.5s. That last figure? More than twice as fast as a Bugatti Chiron, and over seven secs quicker than a Koenigsegg Regera – the current 0-250-0mph champ. Target top speed is 311mph. There’s a lot more than that, so let Top Gear Magazine’s Jack Rix walk you around the car with the help of its creator, John Hennessey. There isn’t much that’s more brutal than the Zenvo TSR-S! Let’s take a first full look at the show car in detail including the interior and firing it into life. This car introduces a whole host of new techniques and carbon fibre to be discovered during a full walkaround at Topaz Detailing where it is visiting for PPF installation. What do you think of this beastly hypercar from Denmark? The Zenvo TSR-S is the third model from the company, TS for Twin Supercharged, R for the Race track only version that came after, and now the final S as it’s a Street offering with all the brutality. Powered by Zenvo’s 5.8 litre V8 it makes 1,177bhp which transmits to the rear wheels through a 7-speed paddle shift helical-cut dog gearbox. 0-100km/h (62mph) is 2.8 seconds, and 0-200km/h (124mph) is just 6.8 seconds before going on to a limited top speed of 325km/h (202mph). Visually the design is aggressive and purposeful, but most strikingly of all comes the Zentripetal rear wing that actually pivots from side to side to aid downforce while cornering. Let’s take a good look at this, as well as showing the process to pivot it backwards in order to open the engine bay compartment. However, with this specific car that was built to be shown at the 2020 Geneva Motorshow before the event was cancelled, a number of other aspects have been introduced. The visual carbon elements of the bodywork show a weave featuring various designs, patterns [More]
This is the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series! At the home of AMG in Affalterbach, Germany, join me for a first look at the latest release in detail. With one objective in mind, the 6th model to wear the Black Series badge boasts immense track performance through a new engine, huge aero, and plenty of details that we can discover during a full walkaround. Where previous Black Series models have upped the ante from their base versions, the AMG GT has moved it to another universe. Boasting significantly more power thanks to the heavily reworked engine, unbelievable aerodynamics including an extendable front splitter and two-story wing with active aero, there is no doubt that the Beast of the Green Hell has grown up into an absolute monster. Visually the car features swathes of carbon fibre in connection to the aerodynamic components. The front end is heavily reworked when compared to the other members of the AMG GT family and now features the much larger A-grille seen on the updated GT3 racecar for additional cooling. Beneath it sits a front splitter which can be manually extended by 5cms for track use only, which link around to flics and aero pieces to control air flow around the car. On the bonnet are two gaping openings for cooling from the new GT3 inspired radiator, along with gurney flaps to assist the flow. Naturally the side skirts play a part, but for grip so do the new Sport Cup 2 R tyres at [More]

The covers are off the new Porsche GT2 RS! The wait has been long but it’s now here, with 700 horsepower through the rear wheels thanks to the 3.8l twin-turbo flat-6 with larger turbos and new water injected cooling. This car is fitted with the Weissach package, featuring the distinct carbon styling on the GT Silver paint, magnesium wheels and very much set up for the track. There is no official limit to the build number but expect the car to be short in supply when they arrive in early 2018. The Koenigsegg Jesko is aiming high and targeting a top speed of 300mph! With the covers off, join me for a full look at the completed Jesko during the world premiere at the Geneva Motorshow. It’s a megacar that takes things to a completely different level, offering 1,600hp, 1000kg of downforce and a new gearbox with 7 clutches! Having been introduced to the car by Christian von Koenigsegg himself during its final preparation at the factory in Angelholm, Sweden, it’s fantastic to see it now in a final state and completed at the show stand. There will be 125 units built of the Jesko, each bespoke to the individual customer and offering performance unknown by many other things on 4 wheels. Powered by a 5.0l twin turbo V8 that produces a maximum of 1,600hp and 1,500nm when running on E85, it can also offer 1,280kg on regular pump gas of 95 in Europe or 91 in the US! Combined with “Ultimate Power on Demand” using the trick Light Speed Gearbox, shifts are ultra responsive and it can drop many gears almost instantly to then be pushed through it’s paces. Following in the footsteps of some remarkable Koenigsegg products that have been launched at Geneva including the Agera, One:1, Agera RS and Regera, the Jesko has a lot to live up to but will no doubt be an astonishing car for the lucky few. The Hennessey Venom F5 arrives with the intention of hitting 300mph and who better to give us a guided walkaround than John Hennessey himself! Taking a look around, we can get a scoop on some interesting numbers that’ll be behind the Venom F5. Showing the car for the first time at the Geneva Motorshow, the Venom F5 will be powered by an 8.0 litre V8 with “at least two turbos”, creating “at least 1,600hp” – some impressive numbers for sure. The design is clearly focused with this in mind, showing aerodynamic and cooling elements to support the direction it is headed.
